5x NBA All Star Coming in Luka Doncic’s Aid “Makes a Ton of Sense”: Insider

Through the mid-way of the season, teams are now aware of their needs. Likewise, with the coming trade deadline, several franchises will have their chance to get the required pieces. However, this season not many of the big names have come up in discussions. Despite that, certain NBA executives want to see the Dallas Mavericks add a volume scorer besides Luka Doncic. Notably, he is arguably one of the most lethal inside scorers currently residing with the struggling Chicago Bulls.
The Mavericks’ season has much depended on the back of their 23-year-old MVP frontrunner. Doncic is doing wonders on the floor exhausting himself almost every night. The organization made critical moves such as adding Christian Wood to fuel the much-needed center spot. He has been effective and efficient with his offensive output. A reliable modern-day big who can score on all levels. But with his defense lacking, his name has come up in trade talks as reported by Chris Haynes.
Currently the fifth seed in the West, executives believe Luka Doncic deserves help from the upcoming February 9 trade deadline. According to Basketball News, Spencer Davies has urged the Mavs to pick up DeMar DeRozan to pair up with Luka Magic.

Should the Mavericks make a DeRozan-Luka Doncic duo happen?
With the deadline approaching, several executives spoke to Basketball News about moves teams can make. Davies was one who pushed Dallas to use their hefty contracts to add another superstar to the roster. He believes the departure of Jalen Brunson to the New York Knicks in the offseason has added an additional load on Doncic. Davies feels he could benefit from a ball handler or a good shooter around him. Likewise, he wants them to stars such as DeRozan, D’Angelo Russell, or even Terry Rozier.
Luka Doncic Finally Settles Big Dispute Worth an Undisclosed Amount with His Closest Family Aid After Months of Tension
He said, “With the Chicago Bulls going in the wrong direction, DeMar DeRozan makes a ton of sense. The Charlotte Hornets have Terry Rozier, who’s quietly averaging 21 points a night (albeit on over 19 shots per game); he’s been very hot in January. D’Angelo Russell seems like he could be an odd-man out in Minnesota, no? Fred VanVleet feels like a popular name around the trade mill too.”

The Chicago Bulls are stuck in a complicated position this season despite DeRozan leading the charge averaging 26.1 points. However, despite having it’s on Big 3, Chicago finds itself in the bottom half of a stacked Eastern Conference. They have struggled to find a groove against inferior teams in the league. On the other hand, they seem to be at their best when facing contenders. Recently, Nikola Vuceivic exploded for a career-high 43 points to beat the Golden State Warriors with DeRozan missing his third straight game due to injury.
There also remains the aspect of Lonzo Ball’s return. The Bulls arguably have a boot load of offense. However, Ball’s perimeter shooting combined with his defense might make Chicago a complete unit once again.
