Draymond Green proved to be quite an efficient resource as came up big in both offensive and defensive ends. Draymond Green recently made a massive admission about the ongoing series against the Lakers.

Draymond Green will be vital in the Warrior’s bid to win the NBA championship title as he is one of the very few who can halt Anthony Davis from causing havoc.

Draymond Green was warned by his head coach

Draymond Green played college hoops for Michigan State University. According to him his head coach Tom Izzo from Michigan is one of the most influential figures in his life and career. Tom Izzo reportedly issued a warning to Green that he might be present at the crucial game 5 between the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers.

In an interview given to NBC Sports Draymond Green elaborated that his former coach’s presence at the game helped him get fired up. He also admitted that Izzo is brutally honest with him. He said, “If I don’t play well, I’m going to get an earful — and I don’t want that. I already got that a couple of days ago: ‘That’s the first time in a long time I’ve seen you allow officiating to take you out of a game! That’s bulls–t. It was blah blah blah.’ I didn’t want to hear that s–t again.”

Green’s certainly not a fan of harsh words from his former coach Tom Izzo, therefore he decided to do his best and win the fifth game 5 of the series. It’s quite heartening to see the college coach of Draymond Green still remains a crucial figure in his life even after Green’s success in the NBA. Tom Izzo is not the only one who speaks the truth to Green about his game.

Warriors team member give Green a reality check

Draymond Green revealed that Player Development coach Jacob Rubin gave him a stinging reality check before the game. Draymond explained how his conversation with Rubin went. He said, “[Player development coach] Jacob Rubin told me before the game, ‘You played well, but I still haven’t felt your presence like I know you can. Your presence should be felt. That’s coming out aggressively on both ends of the floor. That’s verbally, so everyone hears you on the floor.’ I felt a little disrespected when he said it.” 

Green certainly didn’t enjoy the criticism he received by the coach. He even said that he felt disrespected by his words. Draymond Green took offence and started the game in a positive notE by hitting the very first three-pointer of the game.
