Stephen Curry bagged 50 points in the game against the Phoenix Suns. However, his efforts were in vain. The rest of the Warriors pack failed to make an impact. This resulted in the Suns defeating the Golden State Warriors by 11 points. Now, the Warriors have lost all of their eight away games. Following this, members of the NBA community were quick to bring out stats and compare this performance to that of the past. One particular stat which included the Chicago Bulls left the NBA world in shambles.

It was noted that the Warriors have the “longest road losing streak by a defending champion”. The last time a defending champion team lost a bunch of their away games was in 1998-99. The team was Chicago Bulls.

While claiming that Curry is suffering looking at his team, one fan called this the “Biggest Fall Off In NBA History”. Fans called this performance shameful. They also stated that the Warrior’s season was over. Following this, NBA Twitter linked the Warriors’ performance to that of the Chicago bulls and said, “Last year was their last dance.” 

In 1998-99, the Chicago Bulls entered the season as defending champions. However, their core team had broken up.
