fter losing at home in Game 1, the Boston Celtics came locked in. Led by Jaylen Brown, they spoiled Joel Embiid’s return only hours after he won the MVP title. The number 2 seed blew out the Philadelphia 76ers at home with an 87-121 statement win. However, rather than the scoreline, it is a particular incident from the game that has fans going crazy at the moment, and it involves Celtics’ face, Jayson Tatum.

The Boston Celtics stomped all over the Philadelphia 76ers in what was a near 40-point blowout. None of the starters had to play even 30 minutes to seal the victory. The Boston troops were locked in from the very beginning. However, being in the zone might have blinded Tatum once again.

After getting fouled, a referee approached to check on the Celtics star. Instead of assuring he was okay, the 25-year-old simply pushed the official out of the way and went to the free throw line. As mentioned before, this wasn’t the first time Tatum has used this tactic.

In Game 4 against the Hawks, Jayson Tatum seemed ticked off by something. An uncanny reaction followed after he suffered from a hard foul. At that time he seemed infuriated and even exchanged words with someone else. However, the league opted to let Tatum go unpunished.

Shockingly, at the end of the game, Atlanta guard Dejounte Murray got into an aggressive confrontation with a basketball official and was hit with a one-game suspension.

The four-time All-Star might have ended the night on a below-par 1 of 7 shooting, but the game had just begun at the time. It will be interesting to see the league’s next step following Tatum’s latest incident because one thing is for sure, fans are watching the league’s play like Hawks.

NBA Fans angered after Tatum-referee Incident

It was the second time in mere days that Tatum had done the same. Before the incident, NBA fans complained about soft technical fouls and poor officiating. However, tonight they pled for the official’s justice.

Some fans felt Jayson Tatum is the only star in the league who could get away with such an offense.

But some were of the opinion that the referee putting his hands on Tatum first should be the point of focus.
