Stephen Curry created history on Sunday night. The baby-faced assassin dropped 50 points, eclipsing Kevin Durant’s Game 7 record of 48 points, in a 120-100 triumph against the Sacramento Kings. The Golden State Warriors displayed a spectacular drive to put the tie to bed. However, none of it would have been possible without the Dubs’ talisman, Chef Curry.
Curry’s performance served as a reminder of why the 35-year-old is regarded as one of the all-time great shooters. His teammates, moreover, made sure that examples of the 4x NBA champion’s leadership qualities were shared with the community.

When the Golden State Warriors lost to the Sacramento Kings, hopes of winning a second consecutive title began flickering. The Warriors were devastated but it seems like it had affected Stephen Curry more than it did anyone else. According to Shams Charania and Marcus Thompson II of The Athletic, the utter disappointment left the 2x MVP tossing and turning on his bed all night. Turns out, he was not the only one with insomnolence.
At 3:45 am, Curry received a text message from teammate Draymond Green. The two talked about the game and the embarrassing loss to the Kings. When Green offered to talk to the team ahead of Game 7, Steph decided to do it instead. A day before the face-off, Curry stood before his teammates and gave a speech that would eventually help the Warriors secure a win.
