The Nuggets had their feet on Phoenix’s necks. They were leading by 20, ripping the away team in what is a critical Game 5. But basketball comes with its mind games. And so Denver played and made their move. The Phoenix Suns tried to draw a play, an attempt to kick-start a way back into the game. But Denver’s Bruce Brown tried to listen in and barrage his way into the huddle.

Durant was at the gate, securing the team’s plans. Soon Nikola Jokic followed. They almost mockingly tried to listen in on the Suns’ plans as if being up by over 20 points wasn’t enough. This triggered The Slim Reaper. He pushed the two-time MVP. A little selling and argument later, the four-time scoring champion was assessed a technical foul.

The conspirators behind KD’s tech were the ones who led the charge for Denver tonight. Nikola Jokic had another one of his triple-doubles where he controlled the pace of the game, gave his teammates open looks, and took down rebounds at will. He finished the night with 29 points, 13 rebounds, and 12 assists. The big boost off the bench was Bruce Brown, who scored 25.

The Kevin Durant and Booker tandem did fire, combining to score 54 points. Nonetheless, Nuggets’ defense was suffocating and tenacious, not allowing anything easy for Phoenix. KD’s antics and Jokic’s apparent flopping forced NBA fans to react.

NBA Fans furious with the Joker for ‘flopping’

The NBA realm wasn’t happy with Nikola Jokic for his efforts in selling what seemed like a harmless Durant push. All the two-time champion did was extend his left arm. Jokic’s reaction made the referees believe otherwise.

The fans were quick to call out The Joker claiming he flopped on the play.

One fan tweeted, “Of course. Because these clowns do everything besides hoop.” Some also attacked Durant as the Suns sank embarrassingly tonight.
