James could reach 40,000 points in the next few years
James is currently the all-time leading scorer with 38,390. As James made it clear that he was not looking forward to calling it a career, he could certainly become the first player ever to reach 40,000 points in a couple more years. By far, the 38-year-old has played 1409 games and averaged 27.2 points per game. If he continues scoring like this, the four-time champion would need at least 60 games to achieve that feat. Therefore, if King James remains fit, then certainly it would not be a difficult task for him.
