The Golden State Warriors have been frequently making the headlines for one reason or the other. While the previous reason was NBA superstar Stephen Curry’s injury, this time fellow teammate Draymond Green has managed to grab the spotlight. When an athlete pulls anything remotely similar to Hall of Famer Michael Jordan, the NBA world goes berserk. Consequently, Green too managed to pull out a similar reaction with a little ‘help’ from NBA legend Michael Jordan.

When Michael Jordan did something, he made sure to accomplish it with style. It is no secret that the Chicago Bulls legend had retired from the league three times in his career. Therefore, when MJ announced his 1995 comeback the first time he retired, the sports world went wild.

Draymond Green follows the Michael Jordan style

It seems like Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green decided to begin his New Year with a bang. On January 4, 2023, the NBA star dropped a major bomb when he announced his podcasting plans. However, it was not the announcement that immediately grabbed fans’ attention, it was the method he had chosen to announce that reminded fans of a particular six-time NBA champion. Green made an ‘I’m back’ announcement, similar to Michael Jordan’s comeback announcement, through a statement after he received backlash for one of his podcast episode during the 2022 NBA Finals.

Shortly after battling the Boston Celtics in losing Game 3 of NBA Finals, Green released an episode on The Draymond Green Podcast titled ‘I played terrible’. The four-time NBA champion was bashed by several NBA athletes.

Warriors Accused of Conspiring against Draymond Green: “Whose Contract is Up This Summer?”

While Green hasn’t released a single episode since October 2022, it is now apparent that he has no plans of stopping. Shortly after he dropped the news, Twitterati didn’t take time to express their reaction. Below are a few of the tweets.

Stephen Curry might be back soon

Amidst the Draymond Green saga, a major update on Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry has just been dropped. The GM of the Warriors, Bob Myers,  recently informed that Steph will most probably join his teammates on the court on January 13. Curry had sustained a shoulder injury on December 2023 during the game against the Indiana Pacers following which he was sidelined for at least two weeks.

Myers further informed that while Curry has not engage in contact drills, he has been doing on-court work. January 13 will also mark the Warriors’ first game away from home,this year.
