Former NBA champion Shaquille O’Neal wasn’t really known for having the best physique during his time in the league. Standing at a huge 7-foot-1 inches tall frame, Shaq Diesel wasn’t your shredded NBA athlete with a lean body. However, O’Neal has shifted his attention to shredding weight and living a good lifestyle after retiring from the league. As he inches closer to his dream physique with each passing day, it seems like the four-time NBA champion doesn’t want to boast about his achievements.

During a recent interview with People, Shaq revealed how close he is to achieving his ultimate dream. Moreover, he also revealed the real reason why he doesn’t like to show off his achievements.

Shaquille O’Neal is not the same as he used to be. He is now fitter, leaner, and healthier. The Los Angeles Lakers legend has already cut down 40lbs of body weight and is in no mood to stop.

Losing weight and opting for a healthy lifestyle is a major life decision that people like to talk about on social media. However, Shaq is not one of them. He lets his body and appearance do the talking.

During an interview with People.com, Shaq said, “I don’t like to talk about it. I like to show.” Moreover, he also revealed that he is 20 lbs away from achieving his dream physique.

Considering Shaq’s determination and hard work, it won’t be long till the NBA Hall of Famer can achieve his goal. Along with Shaq, his close friend and colleague Charles Barkley has also lost a lot of weight.

In the same interview, Shaquille O’Neal also revealed that he could’ve played for a couple of more seasons. He talked about Udonis  Haslem, who is in his 20th season with the Miami Heat, and how Shaq’s career could have spanned out differently had he been serious.

“If I had paid attention, I probably could’ve been like Udonis Haslem and played 20 seasons, but I did it my way”, said Shaq. Former teammate Kobe Bryant had also once claimed that Shaq would have been the greatest player ever if he had done things differently. However, O’Neal chose his own path and retired a legend regardless.
