According to reports, Embiid has a right orbital fracture and a mild concussion that is keeping him out indefinitely. The 76ers face the Miami Heat next and Embiid’s injury can really prove costly.

When asked about a similar injury, 4 time NBA champion Shaquille O’Neal had a lot to say. Shaq said, “It hurt so bad that you really shouldn’t play because you will damage it more. But then you think about the people who really paid tickets to watch you play.

He added, “So you know what I’mma do? I’m gonna overdose on painkillers. I was addicted to painkillers because I had to play.

This spine-chilling story by Shaq just goes on to show how tough an athlete’s life is. Interestingly enough, Shaq also touched upon how he expects Embiid to enter the court. The reason being? Embiid is a warrior.

Shaq said, “I don’t want to hear no excuses because the world doesn’t care. If you can’t play Don’t be on the court. But I know he’s a warrior. He’s gonna play.”

It remains to be seen whether Embiid will do as Shaq says. However, the reports suggest the 76ers will be without their star man against the Miami Heat.
