The Warriors went off in game 1 of the first round versus the Nuggets. This is Dubs’ first playoff game after the 2019 postseason. Klay Thompson put up 19 points, splashing 5 triples. Stephen Curry came off the bench, as he had just recovered from an injury. Curry and Wiggins both scored 16 points. Steph might come off the bench in game 2 as well as he looks to get back in rhythm. Poole’s performance is a great relief for Steph, as he takes the load off of him.
Meanwhile, Jokic and Barton showed up for the Nuggets. The Joker had 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. The bench did not perform well for the Nuggets, as it combined for just 33 points. Denver did their best on the defensive end, but couldn’t stop the Warriors’ shooting.
