With the NBA season finally over, teams are bound to make drastic moves to ramp up their roster for the upcoming season. This means trading players, signing free agents, and releasing some players on the team’s roster to make way for new ones. However, with some rumors just out there for grabbing the attention of the reader, Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum put his foot down over such anonymous sources.

There has been some uncertainty surrounding the contracts of Jayson Tatum and his All-Star teammate, Jaylen Brown. Both players are now eligible for Supermax contracts with the Celtics. However, there are a few who do not believe that the Celtics are willing to invest that much in Brown, leading to doubts about the 2x All-Star’s future in Boston.

The Boston Celtics were looking to make some big moves this offseason. One of them was bringing the Latvian big man, Kristaps Porzingis to their roster via a three-team trade from the Washington Wizards. Unfortunately, the trade fell apart at the last moment which led to a lot of confusion. However, the Celtics have now successfully acquired Porzingis as per the latest reports, with Marcus Smart going to the Memphis Grizzlies in the deal.

While some may be true, there must be a few rumors floating around that do not hold any value. And this had Celtics star Jayson Tatum absolutely furious. He ended up speaking out about the anonymous sources that the rumors rely on.

Brown is eligible for a 5-year, $295 million extension, while Tatum will be eligible for a 5-year, $318 million deal. It’s unclear if the Celtics will invest that much in Brown but who will they use that money on then?
