Kyrie Irving Posts Cryptic Message For Critics Ahead of Season, Michael B Jordan and Others React

The Brooklyn Nets were one of the biggest favorites to win the title this season. With the big three of Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving, the Nets looked unstoppable on paper.

But the side suffered from multiple injuries in crucial match-ups during the playoffs. Facing off against the Bucks, the Nets saw their primary point guard in Harden suffer from a nasty hamstring injury.

Despite missing ‘The Beard‘ from the lineup, the Nets steamrolled past the Bucks in game 1 and 2 and took a commanding 2-0. Playing game 4 with a 2-1 lead in the series, the Nets saw Kyrie Irving suffer from yet another injury as he rolled his ankle and suffered from an ankle sprain.

With Irving out, and Harden not a 100%, Durant and Brooklyn had their hands full against the Bucks as they succumbed to a 4-3 loss and crashed out in the second round.

Kyrie Irving has a cryptic message ahead of long off-season

Given that the Nets had so much star power, they were the ultimate magnet for media and controversy. Be it KD’s public confrontation against the likes of Shannon Sharpe or Harden showing up out of shape in training camp, the Nets big three had their fair share of controversies. But guard Kyrie Irving was at a different ballpark when it came to criticisms.

Often criticized for his vocal comments or his off the court activities, ‘Uncle Drew‘ has been a constant in the headlines. After declining to participate in the upcoming Olympics, Irving has a long off-season ahead of him where he can work on his game and return to full health.

Ahead of the off-season, Irving took a very subtle jab at the media writing, “Write it down, work in silence, then make it look effortless.” Even Oscar nominated actor Michael B. Jordan and multiple Olympic champion Michael Phelps reacted to the same.

Given the time off Irving will have before the start of next season, all eyes will be in Uncle Drew next season. While Kyrie might be controversial figure off the court, there is no doubting the quality he brings on the court.

With his impeccable ball handling coupled with his ability to get to the basket, Irving clearly makes the Nets ball club a force to be reckoned with.
