Major NBA Analyst Rips Apart Lakers While Calling OKC “The Worst Team in Basketball”

In one of the shocks of the season so far, the struggling Oklahoma City Thunder came from behind to maul the Los Angeles Lakers. In the absence of 17-time All-star LeBron James, the Lakers slumped to their third defeat of the regular season. It was a nightmare night for the side, as they bottled a 26 point lead. Although Anthony Davis was a vibrant figure in their attack, his efforts went in vain. And after the match, league analyst Chris Broussard has lashed out at the Lakers.
All in all, it has been a patchy start to the season for LA. They came in with some experienced buys, such as Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony. However, there was always the doubt of whether the ageing warriors still have what it takes. One of their key veterans is already sidelined due to an ankle injury, and who knows what the future holds. If the franchise has any hopes of reclaiming their lost crown, a change in strategies is of vital necessity.

Chris Broussard destroys LA Lakers after blowout loss to Thunder
The Lakers raced off the blocks on Wednesday night, dominating Q1 to go ahead 41-19. Coming into the match, Oklahoma had suffered four consecutive defeats. The side is filled with up and coming players, and is yet to settle into the scheme of things. On the other hand, Frank Vogel’s men gave them more than enough time and room to make merry, as they were all over the Lakers in the second half. Following the loss, analyst-host Chris Broussard has deemed the Lakers’ efforts as poor in spite of them not having James at their disposal.

Speaking on the First Things First podcast, Broussard lashed out at Anthony Davis and co. “You shouldn’t need LeBron James to beat the 0-4 Thunder,” stated the Fox Sports commentator. “They’re probably the worst team in basketball. For all of Russ’ turnovers, the Lakers defense was horrific.” Later, he retweeted his own quotes, adding “The Lakers shouldn’t need LeBron to beat the freakin’ Thunder.”
