Kobe and Shaq are beloved by Lakers fans. They won three titles together in their time at the Lakers and created a dynasty. They put the Lakers back on top after a decade of mediocrity. And for that, they are always loved by the fans. Despite not getting along together the duo managed to win title after title.

The Shaq and Kobe era started when the Los Angeles Lakers signed Shaq in free agency and drafted Kobe in the 1996 NBA draft. The Lakers were still a young team, but they had two future stars with them. These two would go on to become one of the NBA’s most dominant duos ever. But the road initially was tough. The Lakers were getting beaten badly in the playoffs during the duo’s early years.

But after Phil Jackson was hired as the head coach, the Lakers’ fortune changed. They won three titles in the first three years of Jackson’s tenure and completed a three-peat. After a few issues, Shaq and Kobe eventually separated, with Shaq leaving LA to join the Miami Heat. And after their careers ended, the duo cleared their differences and showed great love to one another. And Ross rightfully honored them with a majestic mural in his house.
