Pippen and McCollum divorced in 1990 with one child. Despite their divorce, it seems like the former lovers were quite amicable with each other.

Five years after his divorce, Pippen met Larsa. She was still making inroads in the entertainment industry back then. On the other hand, the Bulls superstar was one of the best players in the world.

Larsa and Scottie Pippen tied the knot in 1997, the same year Pippen won his fifth NBA title with the Chicago Bulls. She was 23 years old during their marriage, while Pippen was 32. This started a two-decade-long love story that ended in 2021. Larsa and Scottie Pippen are proud parents of four kids. The NBA legend has four other kids from his previous relationships.

The tragic passing of McCollum and Pippen’s firstborn son

Scottie Pippen welcomed his first son in 1987, while he was a rookie for the Bulls. Antron Pippen passed away at the age of 33 in 2021. His father shared the painful news on Instagram along with a touching caption.

He wrote, “I’m heartbroken to share that yesterday, I said goodbye to my firstborn son Antron,” along with a photo of his son. Like his 6-foot-8 inches tall father, Antron was a budding basketball prospect at one point in time. However, he had chronic asthma which shattered his hoop dreams.

Antron was a late bloomer like his father. For that reason, perhaps, Scottie felt a special connection with his firstborn. Interestingly, Antron wasn’t the only one of Scottie’s children to be interested in basketball.

Larsa and Scottie Pippen’s firstborn, Scotty Pippen Jr, is currently signed to a two-way contract with the Lakers. Interestingly, he once revealed some intriguing details about the Bulls legend shortly after joining the Lake Show. Scotty Pippen Jr is working hard to make his mark in the NBA, while his siblings are pursuing other aspirations in life.
