The Los Angeles Lakers have become a hot destination for any player after they just acquired Russell Westbrook in a blockbuster trade. Getting rid of Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and Montrezl Harrell gave fans some relief. But this only means the doors aren’t closed. With the offseason in full force, speculations are who else they would want are making rounds. And it seems like Dwight Howard might be making his comeback to the purple and gold, for the third time.
Is Dwight Howard ready to go back to where he belongs?
Dwight Howard may not be in his prime but has proven that he can still impact the game. Last season, he fit well with the Philadelphia 76ers and in the limited role he had in the postseason, he deserves a pat on the back for it. But does bringing another center fit well for the Lakers? They already have Marc Gasol and Andre Drummond. And if you see, Howard could do well with other teams like the Utah Jazz, the Boston Celtics, or even going back to Philly.

Howard played a vital role in the Lakers NBA championship in 2020. From being a veteran locker room presence to a great defender, he had returned to the team for the second time after his ugly exit the first time in 2013.
When he entered free agency last year, the team was very keen on keeping him on the roster. And then Dwight’s rash decision of posting about going back to the Lakers without any official contract landed him in a soup that eventually led to his exit.
Yes, he did recover from this tragedy and had a great season with the Sixers. However, seeing him back on the court with the Lakers certainly gives fans hope that the franchise is getting ready for a big comeback after their early disappointing exit this season.
