At the moment, Durant and Kyrie Irving are under the Nets since they have all been set for training camps, but it may change if they get traded in the near future. The most important aspect revolves around the high expectations and demands they have of the team.

Among fans, there is so much speculation about what will happen and whether anything will change. As of yet, there is no clarity as to whether he will continue with the Nets. Notably, Kevin Durant reportedly had a meeting with Nets owner Joe Tsai this week.

“What I’m hearing is that KD is going to meet with the owner this week,” according to Heavy Sports. “He’s going to go directly to the owner, Joe Tsai, sometime this week. We’ll see how that works.”

The Brooklyn Nets are doing everything they can to save Kevin Durant

The Nets are unlikely to give up Durant for anything less than he is worth, based on their current situation. Especially as he enters the first year of a four-year contract with the Brooklyn Nets. At the current level of the market, very few teams would seemingly be able to sign KD.

Several reasons may have motivated Durant to request a trade. “I don’t know,” the source said. “I have no idea what’s going to come of that meeting. There are some things that KD is unhappy about, and I’m not sure any of that gets fixed here. But maybe it does.”

The Nets are making efforts to ensure the situation ends in a favorable manner for the franchise moving forward. They will certainly be able to make a significant impact next season if Durant, Kyrie Irving, and Ben Simmons stay.
