The Last Dance documentary caused a huge stir within the Chicago Bulls. As fans enjoyed the magical moments of one of franchise basketball’s greatest sides, a huge outburst began. Michael Jordan was at the center of attention, and many of his teammates were rather upset after watching the show.

The latest and biggest of these names is former teammate Scottie Pippen, who lashed out at the 14-time All-star. His recently published book has further revealed some shocking details on his equation with many of his fellow Bulls, including MJ.

Jordan and Pippen were undoubtedly a riveting pair. They combined for some historic moments in Bulls history. During the course of their careers, they captured 6 titles with the franchise, including two three-peats.

While ‘His Airness’ was a guard-forward, Pippen played primarily as a small forward. Everything seemed to be fine between the two greats until Pippen’s book and the docu-series. After the 56-year-old destroyed Jordan verbally, he has clarified his stance now.

Scottie Pippen on what his harsh words mean for his relationship with Michael Jordan

In his new memoir ‘Unguarded’, Pippen has cleared the air regarding several topics. However, a large part of the book sees him lashing out at many players. Catching more eyes than anything else is his criticism of Jordan.

He calls him selfish, hypocritical and insensitive. Evidently enough, Scottie was angered with the series, but he admitted that he and his compatriot Jordan have never really been close.

In a New York Times interview, Pippen addressed what it was that angered him, and whether this has dented his equation with Jordan forever. “I think he’s always separated himself a little bit from what I consider the traditional team concept,” stated the 1994 All-star MVP.

He proceeded to clarify that Jordan’s treatment of his teammates was different, but productive. Finally, upon being asked if his book would create a split with the 58-year-old, he firmly laid out “To answer your question, no.”
