After his opening night game against the Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson sat for a quick chat with Inside the NBA analysts, Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, and Kenny Smith. However, little did he know that one of his comments would result in a disagreement between Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley live on national TV. Aside from the minor dispute, the analysts and Thompson talked about the recent altercation between Draymond Green and Jordan Poole. Additionally, Thompson also talked about how he gained back his confidence.

When Thompson appeared on TNT, former NBA player and analyst Charles Barkley asked him if he has complete confidence in his legs. The Golden State Warriors star replied that he does, in contrast to how he felt the previous year. The Warriors player said that he was in great shape and was finally feeling better.

Furthermore, Thompson praised teammates Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Jordan Poole for the skills they possessed, ultimately forming a strong team.

When Klay Thompson bought up Draymond Green and Jordan Poole, the analysts were bound to ask about their recent fight. Former NBA player and sports commentator Kenny Smith asked Thompson how he could contribute to improving the team’s tense situation. Thompson simply replied that ‘winning cures all’ and highlighted that even Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley once had a similar altercation even though they were not teammates.

Shaq said that he was involved in lots of physical disputes with his teammates, however, the fight eventually bought them closer. He then commended Green for apologizing to Poole and his family. Furthermore, Shaq said that respectful arguments were common between teammates. ‘Respectful’ being the key word. However, subsequently Kenny Smith disagreed with Shaq, saying that the Green-Poole fight was way past respect. Additionally, Chuck told Shaq to ‘stop it’ clearly in complete agreement with Smith.

“I’ve seen you spit on somebody when they disrespected you,” said Shaq to Barkley.

While Barkley replied that he was wrong too for doing that, Ernie Johnson broke them up before the fight escalated. Johnson then asked Thompson if Green had to work on just his relationship with Poole or with the whole team. Thompson replied that Green willingly worked to get back his team’s trust.

“I mean without Draymond, we’re not the Warriors and without JP, we’re not the Warriors,” added Thompson.
