The purple and gold would need to make strong decisions to steady their ship for the rest of the season. The solutions seem crystal clear for the majority, but not for the Lakers front-office. On the topic of trades, The Athletic reported that the Lakers don’t want to “compound its previous mistakes with more win-now moves.”
The quote seems to an indirect reference to the system put in place by management earlier to aid LeBron James win more titles in the coming seasons instead of building up a team for the future. Safe to say, the fans were pretty infuriated by the implication as the Lakers management is still struggling to broker a deal worth anything. Here are some of the reactions from fans.

I thought Jeanie Buss would be a good owner but she isn't. She has far too many "advisors" and a front office who make bad decisions. The Buss family should sell the team and the sooner the better. Clear out everyone and start again. The Lakers can't be this poorly run

Get Darvin Ham out. Somebody can make some personell moves and get something out of AD, Russ and Lebron. They need better supporting cast. Everyone on team is a JV level player apart from these 3, let’s be honest. No disrespect to those hard working players.

You have to win in L.A. this isn't Milwaukee, Utah or Sacramento. Let that other team in L.A. #1 before the Lakers win #18 and see how many people jump ship. It's a what have you done for me lately society we live in. No one will spend money to watch them lose.

If you’re not win now, let LeBron go, and pursue his dreams!! As for me, I’m always “Win Now” mode! And I say, make the trades! We won a championship a couple of years ago with the Bron/AD nucleus. Get a Big & a Shooter! 2 players and Win Again!!

More?!?!? When was Westbrook a win now move? That was just a bad move and if you have the chance to resolve it somehow you do it! @JeanieBuss if not win now then win WHEN?? You have @KingJames NOW @AntDavis23 will be back with something to work with if YOU DO YOUR JOB

He should be fired. Keep in mind that Magic built up the assets that Rob pissed away. He overpaid for AD and then compounded it by overpaying for Westbrook.

Fans suggested their own solutions even though they were angry at the way the team was handled. A lot of their problems do lie with the use of Russell Westbrook. Although the point guard has played well off the bench, his exorbitant salary has prevented the Lakers from upgrading their roster.
LeBron James has particularly played well throughout the season, leaving fans with a bittersweet taste. The fans feel that there is genuine disrespect for the 37-year-old in the later stages of his career, as Rob Pelinka struggles to put the right pieces around him.
The LA side looks confused at the moment, subsequently irking the fans. Their patience seems to be thinning out due to their team’s apparent stubborn behavior.

Anthony Davis seems to be floating on the same boat, averaging 27.4 pts PPG in 25 games this season. If the players get rid of their injury woes completely, they might be able to get the LA side yo greener pastures comfortably.
