In the recent episode of Inside the NBA, Shaq honestly described what is plaguing the Rockets’ side, at least for the current season. Their performances have all but surely removed them from playoff contention.

The Lakers legend is of the opinion that the Rockets squad is too young to compete at the highest level. He pointed out the fact that stars like Jalen Green and Alperen Segun are incredibly young.

The seven-foot legend was of the opinion that it’d be unfair to criticize them considering their age. His co-hosts weren’t fans of his take and complained that it wasn’t any reason to not play “hard”. The Lakers legend remained adamant saying the Rockets roster are “just babies”.

Exciting stars like Jalen Green and Alperen Sengun have bright futures but they’re just 20 years old. These performances aren’t unseen by the Houston side as well, as Eric Gordon also mentioned the side’s problems last month.

Last month, Eric Gordon brutally dissed his team for their performances. He mentioned how there’s “no improvement” and how the “mindset” is affecting the team. Since then nothing has changed and the squad is forced to start thinking about the next season in the midst of the current one.

It’s a fall from grace, as H-town just a couple of seasons ago were in the top four positions of the conference. Harden’s last season at the Rockets was utterly disappointing which led to his exit. After which the team spiraled down to even deeper holes.
