Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry has built a reputation for his accurate three-point shooting skills. Curry’s influence is unquestioned as players and fans from around the world try to mimic the 9x All-Star. Certain types of three-point shots have become synonymous with the 4x NBA champion. However, Washington Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma’s unsuccessful Curry move fetched him humiliation from fans. Not only that, but NBA players, past and present, joined the fans to make fun of the former Los Angeles Lakers star, including Shaquille O’Neal. 

Former NBA Champion Kuzma has represented the Lakers and Wizards in his six-season long career averaging 21.4 points in 401 games. Moreover, the 27-year-old has a decent three-point shooting percentage of 33.8%, while Curry has 42.8%. Despite his steady 3-point percentage, the Wizards star faced embarrassment in the win over the Detroit Pistons.

Kuzma barely manages a Stephen Curry move

During the Tuesday night game between the Wizards and the Pistons, Kyle Kuzma left his own teammates in splits with a hilarious sequence. Wizards’ forward Corey Kispert passed the ball to Kuzma, who was standing near the sideline. As soon as he collected the ball, Kuzma attempted a turnaround three-pointer, reminding the fans of the Dubs superstar. Notably, Curry frequently attempts turnaround three-pointers, leaving the fans in awe of his accuracy. However, in the case of Kuzma, the ball bounced off the rim. Following the act, the Wizards’ bench broke into laughter.

The Wizards pull off a close finish

Wizards guard Bradley Beal poured in 32 points to pull off a 117-119 win against the Pistons on Tuesday. Kuzma managed to drop 23 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists to atone for his embarrassing play. Currently, the Wizards are in the 10th seed of the Eastern Conference with a 31-34 record. The fight for the playoff spots is wide open as the league enters the business end of the regular season.
