The Miami Heat have been among the top NBA teams over the past few seasons. The entrance of a superstar like Jimmy Butler has got their play-off journey in check. However, after their 2020 Finals appearance, they haven’t been able to make it back. Likewise, they are still hunting to make changes this off-season. And their top priority has been the Utah Jazz’s Donovan Mitchell. However, the Heat’s offer came out to be insufficient in the eyes of Utah. And Heat fans were left in total shock.

The talks of a Mitchell trade to the Heat have been going on for the longest time. The Utah Jazz has constantly underperformed in the postseason. In addition, their rise to glory was all on the shoulders of Mitchell and Rudy Gobert. However, their duo never got along well on the floor. The All-Star averaged 25.9 points last season and is still young. Moreover, the hostile situation in Utah adds to their chances. However, according to the reports, the Heat already made a run at Mitchell.

However, their offer was rejected by the Utah Jazz, calling it insufficient in exchange for their All-Star guard. While there is little to no knowledge about the offer, it looks like the Heat isn’t keen on giving up their pursuit of the All-Star.

But for the Jazz, the situation has improved since they traded Rudy Gobert to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Utah is now a young team with a great number of draft picks. They have made their intention of building around Donovan Mitchell very clear. However, if Miami does pull the right strings for their target, anything is possible. A scoring duo of Butler and Mitchell could be the key for the Miami Heat to make it back to the big stage.
