When it comes to the NBA, the GOAT debate is extremely dicey. While many have narrowed it down to the Michael Jordan vs LeBron James duel, this is not always the case. The likes of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Kobe Bryant are in the mix as well. Recently, NBA legend Isiah Thomas has snubbed Jordan while praising James and Kareem.

Isiah Thomas feels LeBron James’ career points will decide the GOAT debate

Playing for the Detroit Pistons for 13 years, the now 60-year-old Isiah Thomas is among the top NBA analysts going around. Off late, he has been in extra awe of James’ game, and with good reason.

Nonetheless, Isiah has admitted on several occasions that Kareem is the benchmark in the league. And in a recent ESPN interview, the 12-time All-Star made a confident claim. However, this may not sit too well with the fans of Jordan and the Bulls.

When he passes Kareem in scoring, you have to anoint him as the GOAT.” It is safe to say, that there will be numerous questions raised over this call.
