But the latest trade rumor, which might be beneficial for the Lakers, has fans scratching their heads.
The trade involves none other than Chicago Bulls star, Zach LaVine. LaVine, being a product of UCLA, seemingly wants to play for the Los Angeles Lakers. But the problem that arises is, what can the Lakers offer in return?

LA arguably has little to offer, apart from Anthony Davis, and the Lakers’ front office deciding to break the duo of James and Davis seems highly unlikely. Moreover, fans are wondering why LaVine would want to play next to an aging star and a team struggling in the bottom half of the table.
Any possibility of this trade happening would likely mean sending Anthony Davis to the Bulls. But fans seem confused about how and why such a deal would take place.

Why would anyone want to go to the Lakers? Terrible ownership, GM and two aging veterans that are going to continue to miss significant games every year.

If Zach LaVine wanted to go to the Lakers. He wouldn't have signed 215 million with Chicago. Some say he couldn't turn down 215 million. Yes! he could have. He doesn't want to play for no damn Lakers right now.

Realistically, the Lakers do not have any assets that they could offer the Bulls in return for Zach LaVine and even fans seem to realize that.

If any sort of trade does go through, the duo of James and LaVine could prove to be a very lethal weapon for the Lakers. Even though James does not have those young legs under him, LaVine arguably still has more than enough hops left in him.

James can be a great facilitator of the ball and would greatly help LaVine in getting easy and open shots. LaVine on the other hand can score points in bunches. He’s got the speed and agility to blow past defenders, can dunk on almost anyone, and knock down the long-range bomb as well.
