Wife Vanessa Responds After NBA Champion Gets Overwhelmed Reminiscing Kobe Bryant and His Daughter Gianna: “I Read Mamba Mentality Everyday”

Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant is undoubtedly one of the greatest players in NBA history. Making history through his plays to inspire others, Bryant has left a lasting impression on the world of basketball and beyond. 

Among those many people is Golden State Warriors star player Klay Thompson. Especially after recent events, this was pretty evident. From returning to the NBA after a long injury setback, to winning the 2021-22 NBA championship, Thompson had an incredible year.

It is through his struggle to overcome major problems that he has established why he is regarded as one of the greatest Warriors players. 

While playing against the Toronto Raptors in the NBA Finals in 2019, he tore his ACL. As he was going through rehab, he ended up suffering an Achilles tear, which kept him out of the 2020-21 season. He returned to the Golden State Warriors at the beginning of the year, in January.

Along with Stephen Curry, he gave tough competition to the Boston Celtics, helping the Warriors win the NBA Finals in six games. Recently, he was recognized for his achievements with an award. He was awarded Best Comeback Athlete at the ESPYs. He gave a thank you speech, mentioning the Warriors organization, Kobe and Vanessa Bryant and their daughters, Stephen Curry, and many others.

When Klay Thompson won the award for Best Comeback Athlete, he remembered Kobe Bryant

During his speech, he mentioned how Kobe had inspired him from the start, and when he was in rehab, he said: “I Read Mamba Mentality every day“. Bryant’s wife Vanessa responded after the NBA star got overwhelmed reminiscing about Kobe and his daughter Gianna during his speech.

As a post on social media, she shared this video with the caption mentioning: “You’re a class act. Thank you for your support and love for Kobe, my Gigi, and our family. Thank you for always including my Gigi when you think of Kob. Congratulations.”

During the previous season, Klay had made some amazing performances, averaging 20.4 points per game in 32 games. Now that the off-season has begun, he is working on his game for next year.
