The Golden State Warriors bagged another win earlier today against the Houston Rockets. The Warriors managed to lead throughout the game, eventually beating the Rockets by 19 points. Warriors star Andrew Wiggings had 36 points and two-time MVP Stephen Curry added 30 points to lead the team’s offense while Draymond Green and co kept the defensive end together. Despite the win, there were two moments in the game that gave Warrior fans a scare.

In the third quarter, Stephen Curry tweaked his ankle during a play. He walked off the court and fans held their breath. Curry was immediately checked out. While fans waited, Poole and Andrew Wiggins controlled the Warrior pack. Minutes later, much to the relief of fans, Curry seemed to be doing okay and was back on the court. Just when fans realized it was time to relax, Jordan Poole met with a fall.

After Stephen Curry, Jordan Poole tweaked his ankle

During the last quarter of the game, Jordan Poole seemed to have tweaked his left ankle during a play. Poole rolled his ankle trying to pass the ball before it went out of bounds. Following this, he stood with his head down while his teammates Draymond Green and Stephen Curry checked up on him.

Poole limped off the court rather carefully. Right before he reached the bench, Drew Yoder, the Director of Medical Services for the Golden State Warriors joined Poole and had him checked out.

However, the 23-year-old didn’t enter the locker room and watched the rest of the game from the bench. Jordan Poole spent 27 minutes on the court and had 21 points. He shot 66% from the floor.

Jordan Poole’s 2022-23 season

Poole has had a shaky start to the season. While he was subjected to criticism and doubt, he saw support in his teammate and 4-time NBA champion Klay Thompson. He implored people to show the youngster some empathy and understanding. Thompson highlighted that NBA players are also humans who go through some tough times.

With that said, Thompson had a message for Poole. He said, “I just tell JP to lean on his teammates because I know what it’s like to shoot 3-for-14 or 4-for-18. It’s not fun.”

Poole seems to have been finding his rhythm lately. In the last game against the Chicago Bulls, Poole added 30 points coming off the bench while shooting 61.1% from the floor. With Poole doing well, the defending champs are looking better on the court.

During a session with the media, Poole spoke about the team’s chemistry. He said, “The rotations changed a little bit a couple of games ago, we kind of started to get a chemistry, a good rotation, and we’re just out there playing our basketball now.”
