July 20, 2024, will be time for the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson battle that will take place at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington. This is a long-awaited fight, but ever since Tyson vs Paul was confirmed, fans have constantly questioned JP’s decision to fight an older man. Although ‘Iron Mike’ is one of the best boxers to ever do it, he is currently 57 years old and will reach 58, one month before the fight. While it is evident that Paul wants to get the best of a boxing legend, Shaquille O’Neal seemed to question the whole idea of this fight.

On the latest episode of his show ‘The Big Podcast’, the Los Angeles Lakers champion questioned, “If you’re Jake Paul, do you feel good about beating a 57-year-old Mike Tyson?… I’m saying he is 57, towards 60…If Jake Paul does happen to win, does he really feel good…?” When the fight was finalized a few weeks back, the netizens had questioned the famous YouTuber similarly.

While Shaq seems to question the morals, Tyson is unbothered by it. The boxing champion has already started his preparations, and it looks like he does not want to use his age as an excuse. But for Paul, Shaquille O’Neal thinks it is more of a lose-lose situation.

As mentioned above, there is a good chance that the netizens will not credit ‘The Problem Child’ even if he wins the battle. At the same time, if Paul loses, social media is going to mock him for the rest of his life for losing to a 57-year-old. This is what Shaq showcased in the above video. Oh, and also, he made his winner pick for the fight.

Shaq was straight away questioned, “Do you think Tyson can knock it out?”. The LA champion replied, “I know he can. Of course he can.” The host wanted to put Shaq in Tyson’s scenario to get a second confirmation. He questioned Shaq, “If you were training for something, I know that you would take no prisoner. Do we think we are going to get Tyson to knock him out?” Shaq replied boldly, “I know we are”.

Shaq’s statements were quite contrasting. By mentioning Tyson’s age, it sounded like he was trying to say that the battle was going to be tough for the boxing champion. However, after some clear-cut questions from the host, Shaq clarified his take. The 2000 MVP seems to be rooting for Tyson! He did not want to beat around the bush but still kept an open mind while answering the million-dollar question.
