When the NBA resumed amidst the pandemic, Adam Silver made the bizarre decision of bringing in virtual fans through an organized setup. Well, tonight’s power-packed Lakers-Thunder game has thrown another surprise in the stands. The LeBron James sponsored ‘I Promise School’ students are given the opportunity to join the game virtually.
Also, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that the absence of fans does pull out a large amount of adrenaline from the match, but the least is being done.
It’s a big night where the Chris Paul led Oklahoma City Thunder take on the top-seeded Western team, Los Angeles Lakers. Moreover, this match has become all the more interesting with some children from ‘I Promise’ school, visible in the stands virtually.
