The father-son basketball duo of LeBron James and Bronny James have the spotlight on them more often than not. While most of the time they remain in the good books of passionate basketball fans, there are occasions when they face backlash. As the King is approaching the twilight of his career, Bronny is all set to begin his.

However, his aspirations to turn himself a professional hit a major roadblock when ESPN removed him from its 2024 NBA mock draft. Following this, the Los Angeles Lakers forward displayed his outburst on Twitter, which he later had to delete.

It seems that Bronny is facing a lot of heat because of his poor run of form in the Pac-12. He is just averaging 5 points per game and has grabbed rebounds at the rate of 2.8 per contest. In the latest episode of Swish, Noah & King talked about the latest Mock Draft Controversy surrounding LeBron & Bronny James. Noah Buono went ahead and defended the youngster.

I want to say that people seem to forget Bronny James started off his college basketball career a month in with a heart attack. Why don’t we pump the brakes and reel it back in and relax on. He’s fine, who cares about the five points per game. USC stinks,” the former Duquesne guard stated.

Later, King McClure weighed in with his views on the subject. He added, “I agree with you man, wholeheartedly. I don’t care where the kid lands. I don’t care what his draft stock is. It doesn’t matter to me right now. As a guy with a heart disease, for him to be out there and play with what he went through. To have the courage to be able to go play despite having the heart attack in practice. Kudos to him if he makes to the NBA.”

In addition to the experts, 4x NBA champion LeBron James also took a stand for his son during the tough times.

Soon after ESPN dropped Bronny James’ name from the mock drafts. Father James took no time to vent his anger and frustration on X. He tweeted, “Can yall please just let the kid be a kid and enjoy college basketball. The work and results will ultimately do the talking no matter what he decides to do. If y’all don’t know he doesn’t care what a mock draft says, he just WORKS! Earned Not Given.”

In addition to this, James posted another tweet specifically targeting the drafts. The 4x MVP exclaimed, “And to all the other kids out there striving to be great just keep your head down, blinders on and keep grinding. These Mock Drafts doesn’t matter one bit! I promise you! Only the WORK MATTERS!! Let’s talk REAL BASKETBALL PEOPLE!”

Surely, both the family members are often at the receiving end of such harsh criticism. Of course, LeBron James is proof that you can achieve anything if you grind enough. Further, it is delightful to see how the Bron loyalists stand up for this family. However, we can surely hope that the USC Trojans win along with Bronny.
