With just two days left until the 2024 NFL Draft, all eyes are on veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers, a key figure for the New York Jets. Rodgers is currently gearing up for what could be a remarkable comeback season. At 40 years old, he is one of the most seasoned players in the league.

Despite his age, analysts on the Carton Show are confident in Rodgers’ abilities. Craig Carton emphasized Rodgers’ readiness for the upcoming season, noting his rested body and sprightly demeanor. But his fellow analysts think Aaron Rodgers may be ‘out of time’.

Craig Carlton appreciated Rodgers saying, “Aaron Rodgers leads the Jets to a division title to their first home playoff game ever in the history of that building, MetLife Stadium. And he is the presumptive favorite for MVP, comeback player of the year, and Super Bowl MVP.Echoing Carton’s sentiments, his co-hosts praised Rodgers for his transformative influence on the Jets’ organization but stressed the urgency for him to deliver immediate results.

Acknowledging the revamped offensive line and formidable defense, he underscored the need for Rodgers to elevate the team’s offensive capabilities swiftly. He remarked, “I’m with you, Craig . I think, listen, I’m 100% he changed the fabric of this organization. But I need Aaron Rodgers to understand one thing. He’s out of time”. As the NFL Draft approaches, the spotlight is on Rodgers and his potential comeback.

Jets’ faith in Aaron Rodgers

The impact of this decision continues to resonate throughout the organization. Despite the absence of on-field results due to Rodgers’ season-ending injury, team officials remain steadfast in their belief in Rodgers’ potential and leadership. “We don’t have a second-round pick this year, and if I had the choice of having the second-round pick and not having Aaron, I would take Aaron 15 times out of 10,” expressed general manager Joe Douglas, highlighting the immense value Rodgers brings to the team as per ESPN.

Rodgers’ arrival not only changed the team’s narrative but also influenced personnel decisions and draft strategy, reflecting the significance of his presence. Joe further said, “Obviously, the injury was devastating, but we’re so excited to have him as part of this franchise.” Despite the setback, Douglas emphasized Rodgers’ invaluable leadership and positive influence within the organization, underscoring his integral role in shaping the team’s culture.

In the meantime, the Jets are gearing up for the Draft with their #10 overall pick. Let us know who you think they’ll draft using their position in the comments.
