Pittsburgh Steelers’ QB Russell Wilson, and his superstar wife, Ciara recently celebrated the birthday of Vanessa Bryant, on 5 May, through a heartfelt message. Posting an old selfie with Vanessa, the NFL star, Russell mentioned, “Happy Birthday Sis! We love you.” Ciara reposted it with a loving caption, “Celebrating you today and every day boo!” Ciara also posted a TikTok clip with Vanessa, sharing goofy moments, with the statement  “I love you so much @vanessabryant birthday queen! Never a dull moment.”

Celebrating the undying support of the Wilsons, what would’ve been a better return gift than the Nike Kobe 8 “Mambacita.” Ciara took to her Instagram account to give a full display of the glamorous edition she received as a gift, captioning “So beautiful V” tagging Vanessa Bryant and Russell Wilson in the post. Ciara also mentioned the hashtags #Mambacita and #playgigisway. Russell Wilson also reposted the story, through his account @dangerusswilson.

The custom edition is spectacular. On the white background, it features black butterflies with golden accents. It also has a heart-shaped pendant, which bears the “Mambacita” logo. The heel of the shoe features Gigi’s name, along with her basketball jersey number engraved in black. The profits from the given edition will go to “Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation,” for the welfare of child athletes.

Nike detailed the motifs behind the design adding that the symbolic meaning of the butterflies is the “transformational impact she [Gigi] had on highlighting women’s sports.” Russell and Ciara appreciated the gesture from Vanessa, as they continued to support each other through thick and thin.

The Wilson-Bryant bond of heartwarming friendship

The Wilsons share a close relationship with the Bryant family, ensuring that they keep in touch with each other during special occasions and otherwise. On 19 January, they even attended Natalia Bryant’s 21 birthday, posting “The Big 21!!! We love you so much Nani Boo!,” and also attended her prom. “Off to Prom,” Vanessa posted photos together on an eventful day.

The Wilsons always turn up, from commemorating Gigi’s birthdays to keeping her memory alive, while celebrating Natalie’s milestones. , this has certainly struck a chord with the fans.
