Clark Hunt‘s wife, Tavia Hunt, has never failed to stay true to her priorities. Whether it is faith, family, or the Chiefs’ legacy, she always keeps them in balance. Be it during the celebration of Chiefs victories or comforting during losses, she makes clear that “true joy isn’t in trophies but in God’s presence.” For her, God is above all, and her family is her anchor. Moreover, she has always encouraged her “daughters to be highly educated and chase their dreams.” While her love for her daughters is evident on her Instagram, this time she stepped up to celebrate the cherished time with the lesser-known member of the Chiefs’ Kingdom.

For her ardent fans, Tavia Hunt posted a heartfelt moment on her Instagram from the NFL fields. And, it was a loving tribute to none other than her son, Knobel Hunt. She captioned her post, pairing it with family snaps inside the MetLife Stadium. “Taking a bite out of the big 🍎!” she wrote. “Game day in New York! 🗽❤️ What a gift to get to be with @knobelhunt in his new stomping grounds and to share these moments together—football, family, and faith.”

Indeed, for the Hunt family, the Sunday night game was more like a reunion with the lesser-known but equally significant member of the dynasty, i.e., 23-year-old Knobel Hunt. And, we can reckon that the timing couldn’t have been more poignant.

Just a few months back, in May, Knobel graduated from Southern Methodist University. Post this, he shifted to NY in June to begin his career as an investment banking analyst at J.P. Morgan. This game against the Giants marked his first Chiefs game since officially calling New York home. So, all in all, it made the trip especially meaningful for the Hunts, witnessing the start of their son’s professional life away from KC.

Tavia never fails to show her adoration for her children. For her son, via her Instagram, she has made it clear how special it is for her to see him thriving “so far from home.” During the occasion of his 23rd birthday in July, she posted, “It’s hard having you so far from home, but we couldn’t be more proud of the man you’re becoming in the heart of NYC,” while holding on to what she has often described as his “convictions and faith.”

Even Knobel’s sisters, Gracie and Ava, captured the moment in their own way during the Chiefs vs the Giants game. Gracie posted “Sunday Night Football under the bright lights of the city that never sleeps.” Meanwhile, Ava skipped her SMU cheer duties to join, writing “Kingdom state of mind ❤️‍🔥” from MetLife. The moment was special for each member of the Hunt family, as it was the first time they had traveled specifically to New York to be with Knobel in his professional environment. And, the reunion reiterated his position as the family’s “favorite son and forever MVP,” as Tavia once called him, while simultaneously supporting the Chiefs.

Chiefs’ first victory of the 2025 NFL season

The Chiefs’ 22-9 win against the Giants truly amplified the significance of the get-together of the Hunt family. The star QB Patrick Mahomes threw for 224 yards and a touchdown, while he was supported by big plays from Tyquan Thornton and Kareem Hunt.

Owing to this, the Hunt family and the entire Chiefs’ kingdom got to celebrate the team’s first win of the season together, in Knobel’s new city. And, this comes after suffering two bruising losses that had ultimately sparked concern across Chiefs fans.

But, amidst all this, Tavia Hunt never lost faith in the team. Sharing the game day poster, she paired it with the scripture, as she quoted Luke 24:32, “Two of Jesus’ followers asked each other, ‘Were not our hearts burning within us while He talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?’” She urged everyone to once again gain insights from Jesus’ teachings.

Not just this, the prayer in her post, which states, “Help my mind to be FOCUSED, and my heart to be at PEACE, so that I can live with CONFIDENCE today,” indeed, it helped the Chiefs to channelize their inner strength.

Now, finally, the Chiefs have earned their first win of the season after an uncharacteristic 0-2 start. Mahomes knows what is lacking, as he said in the postgame coverage, “We just want to play better. We haven’t played up to our standard.” Going into week 4, they will now be facing the Ravens on September 28 at Arrowhead Stadium. With renewed confidence, indeed, the Chiefs are pushing themselves to win the Super Bowl trophy this time.
