Last week, we were discussing how the Broncos game could be the biggest of Patrick Mahomes‘ career. Not even seven days have passed, and now we are talking about the most significant redemption he needs. After battling the flu, getting thrown out of a couple of records, and getting stepped on a finger, the quarterback has seen it all in the past week.

The Chiefs are planning their weekend redemption against the Dolphins. But both teams are already battling things somewhere else as their injury list for the week is out. And looking at it, both coaches must give their game plan multiple thoughts before heading to Germany.

Not only was the week rough for the defending champs, but it was also exceptionally tough for their star quarterback, Patrick Mahomes. He was just one game away from setting an all-time NFL record and climbing to the second position for another one. The loss set him back by two seasons, and combined with his flu and injured finger, the Broncos took his complaint to a new level.

Things don’t end for Mahomes there yet. Reid is grateful to still have Mahomes, but unfortunately, his starting WR companions are injured. Luckily, both Skyy Moore and Kadarius Toney, the WRs in the discussion, were part of full practice sessions on Wednesday. They are expected to be available for the Dolphins’ game.

But there are two more names on the list that were unavailable for the day’s practice session. Those are RB Jerick McKinnon and LB Willie Gay, who are suffering from a groin and lower back injury, respectively.

On the other hand, things are not as bad for the Dolphins on the field, but worse when it comes to the injury list.

The Dolphins do not seem to be getting over the injuries at the moment, and with one inclusion back, they are missing two names from the squad. Such has been the case, as Tyreek Hill and Raheem Mostert missed a few practice sessions due to injuries last week. The duo was ultimately available for the Patriots clash. Hill has now been replaced by a few new names unavailable for Wednesday’s practice.

They are offensive linebacker Rob Hunt, safety Brandon Jones, and tight end Durham Smythe. Raheem Mostert did not practice again after registering 46 yards and 1 touchdown against the Patriots.
