Micah Parsons isn’t the only one squaring off against his old team on Sunday Night Football at AT&T Stadium. And he’s not the only one bringing a little extra emotion to the field to hit his former quarterback, Dak Prescott, either. Kenny Clark’s in that mix, too.

Just a month after the blockbuster trade that shipped Parsons to Green Bay and Clark to Dallas, both the defenders now get their shot at their former teams in Sunday Night’s Week 4 CowboysPackers showdown.

And just a couple of days before the game, the Cowboys’ HC, Brian Schottenheimer, announced Clark’s role for the big day. Dallas has named the veteran defensive tackle Captain of the Week. “So happy to have Kenny (Clark),” the Coach added. The 29-year-old earlier addressed how emotions will play a big part in Sunday’s game against the Packers.

When you’ve been somewhere for nine years, it’s hard to not have those emotions, but it’s another game,” he said. “It’s another game, at the end of the day. I’m definitely going to be amped up. I’m gonna be ready to go, and prepare to do everything I gotta do in order to help my team win, but at the end of the day, yeah, we’re trying to get a win.”

Before being traded to the Cowboys, Clark spent nine seasons with the Packers, where he earned three Pro Bowl selections and recorded 236 tackles and 35.0 sacks. Now that he’s in Dallas for his 10th season, you could bet that the 29-year-old DT is excited to hit his former quarterback, Jordan Love.

Yeah, you get to hit now,” Clark told Patrik Walker while speaking with dallascowboys.com. “I’m excited, bro. I’m excited. It’s been a long time coming, and it’s definitely something I’ve been thinking about since I got traded here. I’m excited to go.”

In his first three games with the Cowboys, Clark has recorded one sack and ten tackles, even though the Cowboys’ defense has struggled. Parsons, meanwhile, is returning to AT&T Stadium after putting up a notable outing in his first three games with the Packers.

But it’ll be painful for Micah Parsons to sack Dak Prescott

The Cowboys performed well in the season opener loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Fast forward to Week 2, and their defense came out flat, even though they secured an overtime win over the New York Giants, before losing again in Week 3 against the Chicago Bears. The Packers, meanwhile, dropped their third after winning the first two games.

Now, as Dallas looks to improve in Week 4, the Cowboys’ quarterback, Dak Prescott, will have to deal with Micah Parsons coming after him. But if you ask Micah, then it’s going to be painful for the 26-year-old pass rusher. “It’s going to be painful,” Parsons said in an interview with the Associated Press on Tuesday.

That’s my guy. He was always like a good mentor for me. But you know how it is. He always told me if I ever faced him that it’ll be a great matchup, so I’m excited to see what Sunday brings itself.” Parsons has 1.5 sacks on the year, and heading into Week 4, the expectation is he’ll get to Prescott at least once. Sunday will tell the story.
