In the days that followed Marshawn Kneeland’s tragic passing, it was revealed that his girlfriend, Catalina Mancera, is pregnant with his son. Now, she is trying to gather as many photos and memories of Kneeland as she can; pieces of the life and love she wants their child to know.

“I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for all the love, prayers, and messages that have been sent my way,” she wrote in a Facebook post. “Your support has meant more to me than I can put into words during such a painful time.
“As I continue honoring Marshawn’s memory, I’m trying to gather as many photos and memories of him as possible. If you have any pictures of Marshawn, whether they’re recent, old, funny, or meaningful. I would truly appreciate it if you could share them with me. Every photo helps me hold onto a piece of him and the beautiful impact he had on all of us.”

Her post came a week after she broke her silence on Kneeland’s death. She had told the Daily Mail that she was not ready to speak about him.
In the hours before his death, Mancera attempted to save him by alerting the cops. She had informed them that Kneeland was armed with a gun and could hurt himself. She told a dispatcher that the player had a history of mental health issues and that she was worried about him.

It is not clear how long the two had been together. Kneeland had always been private about his life, but Mancera had been sharing their pictures on social media since at least 2022. Some of those pictures included Mancera supporting him during his second year with the Dallas Cowboys. However, there are some sources that suggest they had been dating since Keeland’s sophomore year of college.
They reportedly began dating when Keeland was at Western Michigan University, and Mancera had been supporting his football career since then. In fact, she also founded SZN Stitches, which produces custom game day apparel. Many of the items featured Kneeland’s name, photo, and his No. 94.
While she grieves the death of someone so close to her heart, the Dallas Cowboys are also doing so in their own way.

How the Cowboys honored one of their own in Week 11
Going into the November 17 game against the Las Vegas Raiders, Dallas’ players wore a ‘94’ decal on their helmets during the game. “Tonight’s about honoring a brother,” Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott said as his team huddled before beginning the first quarter.
The QB also entered the field wearing a white wrist tape with “One Love” written on it. It was Kneeland’s favorite phrase. But it doesn’t end here.

Even before the game, many of the players and staff members donned navy t-shirts printed with Kneeland’s face along with the text 2001-2025. That represented Kneeland’s birth and death.
In fact, ESPN’s sideline reporter Lisa Salters also revealed that a #94 jersey was hung in the visitors’ locker room at Allegiant Stadium to honor Kneeland’s memories.
Since it was an away game for the Cowboys, the Raiders helped by raising awareness. The coaches, staff, and players took the field for warm-ups while wearing shirts with ‘Call An Audible’ written on the front. The ‘988’ phone number for the su-c-de and crisis lifeline was mentioned on the back.
The Cowboys also vowed to take care of Mancera and her son. “We want to make sure she’s taken care of and the baby is taken care of for the rest of their lives,” Dallas Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer said during a press conference.
The team believes they can best honor Marshawn Kneeland through their games and by taking care of his family. So, the teammates will donate money to the Marshawn Kneeland Memorial Fund to support Mancera and the unborn child.
