The Philadelphia Eagles came out of the Dallas Cowboys game, winning but not unscathed. Dallas Goedert has taken some heat on himself in order for the Eagles to win against the Cowboys. Things are not looking up for the TE and the team itself as the most crucial part of the season is approaching soon.
Goedert may go to IR after the injury that he sustained, but the condition of his injury is still a mystery. He might miss the next game against the Kansas City Chiefs for sure. The Eagles have some major games ahead and Goedert was a huge part of the team. The Eagles might have to do with another TE for a while.

This happened somewhere in the 3 quarter. Goedert even stayed on the field for some time after taking the hit. However, he was soon escorted to the locker room after playing for a few more minutes. Unfortunately, Goedert will miss the game against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Buffalo Bills, the San Francisco 49ers, and again, the Dallas Cowboys.

Goedert left with three catches over 50 yards. The Cowboys might have felt threatened by his presence. However, the team end up losing despite Goedert’s absence from the game after his injury. The Eagles are relying on the next man up and it’s going to be Jack Stoll, though the option of using Albert Okwuegbunam is also on the table.

The return of the Super Bowl
As it stands, the Philadelphia Eagles will be playing the Kansas City Chiefs. This serves as a pretty good reminder of the past but also gives a glimpse of what can be the future of both teams. From the looks of it, both teams are well on their way to the Super Bowl. Hopefully, the history will repeat itself, unless the Eagles choose to bolster their offense quickly.

However, the Eagles must jump a lot of hoops in the future because they will be against some of the best teams in the NFL. The going just gets tougher from here and they cannot afford to pile up any more injuries. As for Goedert, he might be placed on IR for at least 4 weeks. The Eagles are the only team in the league with an 8-1 record going into a bye week.

The thing is, bye week doesn’t count as healing period for Dallas Goedert, per NFL. So, he might have a lot more time to heal. However, his return is still subject to a lot of medical exams and a green light from the management.
