The Philadelphia Eagles are playing against the Seattle Seahawks in MNF during Week 15 at Lumen Field. Before the matchup, Jalen Hurts was listed under the questionable category due to his illness. However, the team trusted him with the opportunity. Consequently, the Eagles QB has created a historic record for himself.

As per the NFL standings, the Eagles are on the second seed with 10 wins and 3 losses, behind the San Francisco 49ers. On the other hand, the Hawks have just six wins over seven losses. This matchup is crucial for the Hawks to win to keep their playoff chances alive. However, with Hurts on the field, it looked quite challenging, as the QB was turning Seattle into his historic venue.

The Eagles QB Jalen Hurts created history on Lumen Field in the Week 15 game on Monday night. Hurts scored two rushing touchdowns in the game, which adds up to his historic record. According to the reports, in total, he has scored 14 rushing touchdowns this season, which is the same as Cam Newton’s NFL record in 2011.

Additionally, over the last three seasons, covering 44 games, Hurts has a total of 37 rushing touchdowns. This proves the important role played by the QB for the Men in Green. In the MNF clash today, Jalen Hurts’ 2 rushing TDs did not only help him reach the record but also allowed the Eagles to host a potentially comfortable position. The first one was a 3-yard run in the first quarter, and the second was a 1-yard sneak in the third quarter using their favorite and controversial play “tush push.”

Despite Hurts’ record-breaking display, the Eagles fell short against the Hawks

The touchdowns from the QB helped the Eagles to take the lead 17-10 against the Hawks. The second TD came after a 12-play, 75-yard drive, with key passes to A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. Notably, ten of Hurts’ touchdowns this season have been 1-yard runs, similar to how six of Cam Newton’s 14 TDs in 2011 were also 1-yard scores.

However, in the game, despite the flawless performance of Philly in the early stage, the Eagles were defeated by the Hawks 20-17, taking the lead in the final few minutes of the last quarter. Facing a disappointing consecutive loss, the Eagles would have their eyes trained on coming back stronger to ease matters for playoff qualifications.

I understand what it takes to be an athlete and perform at such a high level since I too have tasted small-time success in sports. As an athlete, I have bagged the coveted district-level championship in track events.
