The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off a tough 16-9 win over the Detroit Lions, but the Eagles’ safety, Reed Blankenship, has more reason to celebrate than just another regular-season win. His wife, Elsa Blankenship, took to her Instagram to make a major announcement.

“Hey @reedblankenship, remember when we said this year couldn’t get any better? Baby Blankenship coming soon…💝,” she wrote in a heartfelt post. The couple is all set to welcome their first child.

The Instgram post was paired with their picture, radiating love, as they posed for the camera. It also had a cake with “Oh Baby,” written on it, along with an ultrasound picture.

Of course, Reed couldn’t hold back from responding to this utterly sweet post. He slid into the comment section and proudly called himself “GIRL DAD 🫡.”

Reed’s reply might be short and subtle, but it shows that the Eagles safety is already on his toes for the new member in his family.

The two recently tied the knot, back in July 2025, after nearly two years of public appearances. Before getting married, Reed proposed to her in 2024, as they shared the news on their social media handles, writing, “A love for a lifetime 🤍.”

And now they are ready for a little addition to their family.
