After taking down the NFC champion Eagles recently, this is not what the Cowboys would have expected from the Bills game! The NFC East sides got trounced by the home side, Bills, at Highmark Stadium. With 9 minutes to play in the 4th quarter, the away side was yet to score their first touchdown of the game. And expectedly, QB Dak Prescott has been the center of attention, for all the wrong reasons.

Disappointed with the game, the Cowboys’ biggest fan; or rather the critique, NFL pundit Skip Bayless took two brutal digs at Prescott. He described the QB’s horrendous performance in the Bills game with the help of two quotes. And the potential loss may leave a devastating impact on the Cowboys’ season, who set a target for ’11 wins’ since day 1.

The renowned Cowboy supporter put up 24 total tweets by halftime. His best one was probably the “We are getting Cooked“, hinting at Bills’ running back James Cook, who is about to touch 200 rushing yards with one touchdown. Since then, the pundit has put up many more tweets, one being a direct dig at QB Dak Prescott.

In one, he wrote: “The nightmare before Christmas“, taking a jab at the team who failed to gift their fans a win as a Christmas present. Instead, their performance was turning out to be a nightmare for the fans.

In another one, he fired off against the QB: “Dak: Deer in blitz headlights“, insisting the QB forgot what to do amid the Bills’ shock.

Bayless might be just too involved in his emotions, but the Cowboys are really displaying an abysmal performance. Arguably THE worst in this season.

Despite totaling 41 points, the game was incredibly sub-par from both QBs. While Prescott threw 21-34 for 134 yards and no touchdowns, Bills’ Allen couldn’t even cross the 100-yard mark. Although he had a touchdown to count with 7-15 for 94 yards. RB, James Cook, had a field day for the home side who rushed for more than either QB could throw at 179 yards and also had 1 touchdown.

Far from a Christmas gift, the game really turned out to be a nightmare for the fans. Not only did it hit Prescott’s MVP chances but also left a big mark on the Cowboys’ playoff target. They not only lost their NFC lead but are down to 4 losses.

Earlier, head coach Mike McCarthy revealed their goal of 11 wins in the regular season and later thinking about their playoff picture. But it seems like the Cowboys have to wait for one more week to clear his quota, or possibly two before week 17 of the regular season runs out.

My story of becoming an NFL writer is as interesting as my story of becoming an MMA practitioner. Coming from such a sport where athletes look to knock the brain cells off each other for a living, I liked the aggression that American Football had to offer. Before I even realized it, I religiously started following American football, picking up the most challenging in-depth write-ups.
