Damien’s stance on Kraft’s interference

Amidst a conversation with the panel in the NFL program with ESPN, he questioned Kraft’s actions, particularly considering Belichick’s significant contributions to the Patriots’ success. “What the hell is Robert Kraft doing, man? I mean, listen, you got a whole Dynasty Documentary which wasn’t enduring Belichick at all  Woody said. “Don’t make this a marriage thing. Don’t get together on this, ’cause that man will stab you in the back. That man bought you six chips, bro, six chips, and you are going to hate that man behind your back. Come on, bro, come on, Robert, come on, man. What’s going on here? I just don’t understand.” Damien further remarked.

The former Patriots guard’s remarks reflect widespread confusion and concern over Kraft’s alleged interference in Belichick’s coaching prospects. Many fans and analysts believe that Belichick’s track record of success should speak for itself, and his reputation as one of the greatest coaches in NFL history should not be tarnished by personal grievances.

Not only Robert Craft, but Damien didn’t hold back in criticizing the Atlanta Falcons and owner Arthur Blank also for this incident.

Woody questions Falcons’ ‘Family Environment’ over winning mentality

According to media reports, Patriots owner Robert also warned that Bills wouldn’t foster a “family atmosphere” desired by Blank. “What the hell is a ‘family environment’? I thought it was about winning. Everything’s about winning. It’s about winning championships. Everything comes with winning,” exclaimed Woody on ESPN’s UNSPORTSMANLIKE Radio channel.

Woody, who played for Belichick from 2000-2003, expressed disbelief that Belichick wasn’t even considered among the top choices for the Falcons’ head coaching position. “You’re talking about the greatest coach in NFL history, and he’s not even in your top three? All because ‘we want to be collaborative,'” Woody exclaimed.

The Falcons ultimately chose Raheem Morris, a decision reportedly supported by Blank’s panel. While Woody criticized the Falcons’ decision-making process, he pointed out a recurring issue with Blank’s loyalty to his confidants, which sometimes overshadows practical decision-making. However, after Woody’s protest, whether Belichick’s situation will lead to changes in hiring practices or further scrutiny of team ownership remains to be seen.
