This is not the first time the two sports families have shown their love for each other. Earlier this year, Ciara and Wilson celebrated the oldest Bryant daughter, Natalia’s, 21st birthday with the NBA family. The singer had shared photographs on her social media, wishing her niece, who they lovingly call ‘Nani Boo.’ Last year, Vanessa wished the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback on his birthday in November, writing, “Happy birthday, bro!!!!”

The bond between the Wilsons and Byrants goes way back with the veteran quarterback’s admiration and bond with Kobe. And after the NBA star’s untimely demise in 2020, the families have only gotten closer, sharing the grief. Their mutual support extended past social media posts and was evident when the Bryants were facing the toughest time a few years ago.

Ciara’s unwavering support for Vanessa Bryant after tragic loss

Kobe Bryant created a legacy for himself in the National Basketball League over the 20 years he played with the Los Angeles Lakers. The shooting guard was one of the most beloved and respected athletes all over the world. However, on January 26, 2020, a tragedy befell the Bryant household when the five-time NBA champion and his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, lost their life in an unfortunate helicopter crash.

There were umpteen condolence wishes pouring in on social media, and the Wilsons stood steadfast alongside the grieving family. Two years later, Vanessa would go to court to sue Los Angeles County’s sheriff’s deputies and fire department employees for sharing photos of the tragedy. A mere two years after the loss of her husband and daughter, the businesswoman had to fight a legal case seeking reparations for the emotional distress caused by the graphic photographs.

Vanessa wasn’t alone in her struggles; however, her friend Ciara was right by her side at every step of the journey. The singer was seen accompanying the model to court, along with Natalia and singer Monica. Ultimately, the ladies’ efforts bore fruit, with the County awarding the Bryant family $28.85 million in Feb 2023.

With time, the Bryant Daily has found recovery and strength, with Vanessa making the most of her life with her daughter, Natalia. Russell Wilson and Ciara have remained strong with their friends, and the two families never miss a chance to express their love and best wishes on their special moments.
