Three years after departing from Wisconsin, a place he called home for 17 long years, Aaron Rodgers is ready to cut the final tie to the Green Bay Packers. With a focus on being a Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, the 41-year-old recently made a $3.7M move.

According to reports, Rodgers has listed his Hobart, Wisconsin, mansion for $3.7 million. The four-time MVP’s luxurious 10,529 square foot property is located at 1,250 Thayer Trail, just 20 minutes from the legendary Lambeau Field, the home of the Packers. It has four bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a theater room, a billiards area, a gourmet kitchen, and a tennis and pickleball court. Built in 2003, the property also includes a three-car garage and a wine room. The listing agent is Daniel Posey of Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group.

Rodgers purchased the property in 2015 for $1.7 million with a discount of $400,000 during the height of his time with the Green Bay Packers. Interestingly, he had mentioned in 2023 that he has no intentions of selling the place. In fact, he didn’t even remove his personal belongings from the property until now.

The step might not just be a well-deserved adieu to Wisconsin. With him hinting that this might be his final NFL season, Rodgers may be shifting priorities for a life beyond the gridiron. His extensive real estate portfolio doesn’t end here, though.

With the Steelers currently, Rodgers has purchased a large equestrian property with amenities, including a private golf setup and pool complex in the Pittsburgh area. The future Hall of Famer also owns or has owned homes in Del Mar and Malibu, in California; in Suamico, Wisconsin; and in Montclair, New Jersey, during his brief time with the Jets. Rodgers also owns residences in Texas and Tennessee.

Curiously, this isn’t the first time Rodgers has tried to unload the mansion in recent years.

We all know the good relationship between Rodgers and his heir apparent for the Packers, and their current QB, Jordan Love. When the latter had signed a $220 million contract extension, Rodgers made a public attempt to sell the home to Love in the summer of 2024.

However, since Rodgers extended the offer on a funny note, Love, too, replicated his response in the same way, suggesting that he would check it out if he got a discount. He also promised to keep an eye out so that the place is well taken care of.

But this wasn’t the only pitch Rodgers went for.

Right before the 2025 season kicked off, defensive end Micah Parsons was traded from the Dallas Cowboys to Green Bay. Seeing his opportunity on the day the Steelers matched up with the Packers, the quarterback was ready to make another offer, only for it to fall off.

“He told me to buy his house,” Parsons revealed in a presser. “It’s a nice house, but it’s just me right now. That’s why I’m not in an urge to buy anything.”

One interesting thing that Love revealed at the time, though, was that the Packers’ Tucker Kraft was eyeing the mansion to add to his estate. However, as Rodgers is still listing it, that deal clearly didn’t come through.

So far, Rodgers hasn’t said anything about his decision.

Picked 24th overall by the Packers in 2005, he went on to spend 18 seasons in Wisconsin, winning a Super Bowl XLV title in 2011. But as Rodgers closes one chapter of his life, the current one in Pittsburgh is facing a critical test, with his recent performance drawing heavy fire.

Rodgers faces heat after Week 10 collapse

While Rodgers had always tried to improve the offense in Pittsburgh, things didn’t work out in their recent fall against the Chargers. Statistically, the Week 10 outing was his worst performance of the year, bringing the most heat to him. He threw for 161 yards with two interceptions. His completion rate was 51.6%, his season low.

“I believe he did look old at times,” ESPN analyst Alex Smith said on Get Up! “But then he is making mistakes that are rookie mistakes, right?”

That was a sentiment shared by Chris Simms, who focused on Rodgers’ demeanor. ”Yesterday went to almost-pointing-fingers Aaron Rodgers,” Simms said on Pro Football Talk.

The criticism of Rodgers’ body language has followed him throughout his career, but it’s amplified now as the Steelers sit at 5-4, clinging to playoff relevance in the crowded AFC North. In fact, the Baltimore Ravens are trailing by just one win. Analysts have begun to question if age is catching up to him.

However, the Steelers’ former QB, Ben Roethlisberger, is taking Rodgers’ side this time. He clarified in his Footballin podcast that although Rodgers, too, agreed that he had an off day against the Chargers, the fans should see how he has improved the team overall. In fact, he believes that the team is leading the conference because of him.

Tomlin, too, wasn’t worried about Rodgers’ one-game slump. In his post-game presser, he was stern that he would not worry about Rodgers just yet. And we can see why.

Compared to his last season with the Jets, the veteran has already improved most of his numbers. Outside of the field, too, Rodgers has made sure of the team’s camaraderie by either inviting them to his house for dinner or taking them to an NHL game at the Pittsburgh Penguins.

But just like Tomlin concluded from Week 10’s performance, Rodgers and the entire offense will return for the better next time. The Steelers host the Cincinnati Bengals at Acrisure Stadium for Week 11.
