After defeating the Cincinnati Bengals 34-12, the Pittsburgh Steelers suffered a massive blow as QB1 Aaron Rodgers suffered an injury on his non-throwing left arm in the second quarter. The injury occurred on a second down just before half-time, when he was nearly sacked. But as Rodgers threw up a ball for Kenneth Gainwell, two defenders landed on him.

Since then, it’s been revealed that Rodgers had a fractured bone in his left wrist and wouldn’t require surgery. With this news, optimism prevailed in the Steelers camp ahead of an all-important clash against the Chicago Bears. But recent developments tell another story.
“Coach Mike Tomlin said quarterback Aaron Rodgers is questionable for Sunday’s game vs the Bears and was a partial participant in practice on Friday,” Steelers.com’s Teresa Varley reported. “Tomlin said, ‘We’ll see where the weekend leads us.”

According to a report by PennLive, Rodgers was spotted wearing a brace on his injured arm, which he has opted for through this week. He also attempted shotgun and under-center snaps to gauge his fitness. But if Rodgers remains unfit to start, backup QB Mason Rudolph would likely get the nod after a solid performance against the Bengals, completing 12 of 16 passes for 126 yards and a touchdown.
With these reports surfacing ahead of the Week 12 game against the Chicago Bears, what has Aaron Rodgers shared about his injury and his possible return?

How has Aaron Rodgers reacted to his wrist injury?
With Aaron Rodgers entering his last few years in the league, every injury and setback seems like something that could end his career in a jiffy. Hence, the Steelers quarterback emphasized the importance of being safe on the field as a key factor in his return to the field.

“It’d be a safety thing. … Gotta get the OK and gotta feel like I can protect myself,” Rodgers said, according to PennLive. “I would say it’d be difficult to take a snap under center than catch one in the gun and there’s been times in my career where we have adjusted and gone to some pistol sets if we need to, to still keep the spacing on the run distribution between the halfback and the quarterback, but the goal would be to take snaps from under center.”
As Pittsburgh’s shot caller remains questionable, fans could be missing out on an Aaron Rodgers annual tradition of beating up on the Chicago Bears, a team that the four-time MVP has tormented a lot throughout his career. In 29 career regular-season games against the Bears between 2008 and 2022, Rodgers has a lopsided 24–5 record.
