New beginnings often bring the brightest headlines. For Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Scotty Miller, the cheers this week aren’t coming from the field but from a hospital room. While the NFL season rolls on, Miller and his family just celebrated a life-changing moment.

On Sunday, Scotty Miller and his wife welcomed their second child, a baby girl named Noli Marie Miller, born on September 22, 2025. The announcement came through a heartfelt Instagram post, where the couple shared their joy and gratitude. Smiling and holding their newborn in the picture, the Millers were met with an outpouring of love in the comments, including congratulations from the Steelers’ official account.
Despite years of flying under the radar, he carved out a roster spot with Pittsburgh after a strong training camp and an eye-catching preseason finale against the Panthers, where he hauled in three catches for 82 yards, including a 53-yard grab that set up a field goal before halftime. In total, he caught all nine of his preseason targets for 167 yards, proving his value as both a reliable and explosive option.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin praised Miller’s conditioning, versatility, and experience, while Aaron Rodgers, his new quarterback, highlighted his blistering speed. If any player gets injured, Miller may step into an even larger role early in the season. General manager Omar Khan also voiced confidence in the new receiving unit, hinting that Miller could be an underrated piece of the puzzle.

For now, though, Scotty Miller’s focus is split in the best way possible. While the Steelers prepare to improve on their slow start to the regular season, their new receiver is celebrating the most personal of victories.
Roman Wilson’s slow start raises questions about fit with Aaron Rodgers
The Pittsburgh Steelers may be 2–1, but not all is well inside the offense. Aaron Rodgers has looked shaky the past two weeks, throwing for just 139 yards in a 21-14 win over New England. Protection issues up front have left the veteran quarterback inconsistent, and questions are mounting about the chemistry within his receiving corps.
DK Metcalf and Calvin Austin III remain Rodgers’ top weapons. Behind them sits Roman Wilson, the rookie wideout once tipped as a breakout candidate after an impressive training camp. Yet through three games, he’s been a non-factor. Wilson has just one catch for seven yards and only two total targets.

Steelers insider Ray Fittipaldo recently broke down why. Speaking on Wilson’s lack of impact, he noted the offense has been heavily tilted toward Metcalf, Austin, Jonnu Smith, and Pat Freiermuth. Until injuries or changes strike, Wilson may be left on the outside looking in.

Training camp told a different story. Wilson flashed speed and reliability in Latrobe, but those flashes haven’t translated to Sundays. Fittipaldo hinted that the problem might be deeper; it’s about chemistry. Rodgers reportedly grew frustrated with Wilson during camp, struggling to sync on timing and routes. That disconnect has carried over into the season.
It’s early, but the lack of trust is glaring. Wilson was drafted to be part of the future, yet right now, he’s barely in the picture. With only one reception so far, his next chance comes in Week 4 against Minnesota. The talent is there, but unless Rodgers and Wilson find common ground soon, this story could turn from growing pains into wasted potential.
