Taking on pain and suffering is second nature to football players. That’s why when Rakeem Nunez-Roches got in a car accident, he wasn’t worried about himself. Instead, he was “frustrated” because he couldn’t get home on time to see his wife and put his kids to bed. That’s the level of commitment that he has toward his wife, Tyrielle, and his kids.

It has been six years since the couple got married, and they even have two kids now, a son and a daughter. In different ways, the Super Bowl winner (with the Bucs) and his wife serve the people. One plays defensive tackle for the New York Giants, and the other serves the country. This time, though, we’re more interested in Tyrielle Nunez-Roches.

Who is Tyrielle Nunez-Roches?

Tyrielle has had a stellar career in the military. She has been serving since 2013 and has experience as a combat medic at the San Antonio Military Medical Center. Currently an Air Force sergeant, she remains committed to her military career. On November 8, 2019, she re-enlisted for another six years.

Shortly after, she graduated from the Air Force and earned a third degree in the process. A little more than 5 years ago, she posted a picture of her graduation ceremony on Instagram with captions, “Our base commander and Chief of staff” that shows her accepting the certificate as she stood with her senior officers.

Rakeem commented on that photo saying, “Keep doing yo thang boo.” The couple’s support for each other is pretty evident, be it career or life in general. But there’s more to Tyrielle than a stellar career. She loves travelling! Her Instagram account which boasts 4.3k followers says that she’s been to Africa, Dubai, Costa Rica, Cancun, Jamaica, London, and myriad other places.

How did Rakeem Nunez-Roches meet his wife, Tyrielle? Their Love Story

The couple are college sweethearts who met at Southern Mississippi University. While it’s not clear what she studied there, it’s well-documented that both were student-athletes, which likely fostered their connection. Time flew by, and they eventually married in an unforgettable ceremony in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Unfortunately, we don’t know their kids’ names, but they are a very prominent feature on the DTs Instagram account. One of the most adorable memories of the girl child comes from 3 years ago. An IG post captioned, “Happy Halloween 🎃 making memories with the fam, is something I can get use to. 👑😍 Hopefully everyone enjoys their day and be safe!” shows some of their most adorable moments together.

It’s a montage of their daughter dressed as a pumpkin, with the family in a whimsical Halloween-themed setup. The dad is dressed as Aladdin, the baby is in a Jasmine costume, and mother Tyrielle is playing the Genie. They even laid out a carpet on the grass and pretended to fly, adding a magical touch to the scene.

In August last year, Rakeem was involved in a nearly fatal car accident that gave him a concussion. However, he got out with not a lot of “bumps, bruises, or broken anything.” Even at that time, all he could do was think about his family.

“It was more frustration because I was heading home to help my wife put the kids down before bed check,” Nunez-Roches said in August 2023. “It was just like, I was just disappointed that I wasn’t able to help because I knew I was going to have to go to the hospital. I knew I was going to have to do all these tests. I was more mad about that than the accident altogether. “

Do Rakeem and Tyrielle Nuñez-Roches Have Kids? 

The couple has two adorable children together, and they always post family pictures, especially with their kids, making their entire Instagram profile extremely wholesome. They have one son and one daughter together. 

Their daughter Halo was born in 2021, and they shared happy news on Instagram and an adorable video during Christmas. The couple had a son in 2023 and posted an adorable video of the mother and child as they were getting discharged from the hospital. They also posted a video on their son’s second birthday on 28th December 2024 where he was wearing a tiny Spiderman costume and came down the stairs to find a pleasant surprise of balloons, cakes, and presents waiting for him.
