The Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills are set to clash again. The last meeting ended with Josh Allen’s group taking a 31-21 win in New York. Now, the Bills come in strong at 6-2, while the Dolphins sit at 2-7, desperate to bounce back. Yet, before kickoff at Hard Rock Stadium, all eyes will shift from the turf to the stage.

This Sunday, that voice belongs to Emily Nichols. According to the Bills’ social media, she’s set to perform the national anthem ahead of the Bills-Dolphins matchup. And to make the atmosphere even louder, the chant starter for the game will be Greeicy, who’s known for bringing the crowd alive before the first whistle.
But for Nichols, this stage isn’t new. She’s already shown her incredible range and presence at major events. Earlier this year, she had the honor of singing the National Anthem at both the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. Representing South Florida, she took the stage at Hard Rock Stadium on June 14 as the tournament’s military vocalist, turning a global moment into a deeply personal one.

With a crowd of around 85,000 fans and even the President of the United States watching, it became a defining moment in her career, one that proved her voice belongs to more than just a stage.
“It was a crazy-amazing experience, and I’m still in disbelief at the opportunity,” said Nichols. “As a teacher and musician, I am incredibly grateful for summer performance opportunities like this that allow me to grow as an artist while representing my country and community through music.”

And now, she’s ready to bring that same pride and energy to the Bills’ game. So, now let’s know more about Emily Nichols.

Emily Nichols’ life, military leadership & more
Emily Nichols is an artist who’s spent years shaping her sound. A songwriter, singer, and topliner from Chicago, now based in Los Angeles, she’s been chasing music from every angle. For over a decade, she’s performed and written for her own projects like Woo Park and Carlile.
Along the way, she’s also lent her voice and pen to hip-hop and electronic artists. Trained in classical, jazz, and pop, Emily carries a mix of styles that makes her voice both powerful and familiar.
But there’s more to her than music. Nichols serves as a sergeant in the Florida National Guard’s 13th Army Band. She’s not only a vocalist but also a low brass musician and educator. In interviews, she’s talked about how leadership, both military and civilian, has shaped her as a performer and person.
