The Pittsburgh Steelers continue their topsy-turvy season after suffering a 10-25 loss against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 10. Now with a 5-4 record, Mike Tomlin’s men still top the AFC North but have lost all the momentum gained from their surprise 27-20 win over the Indianapolis Colts. One of the primary reasons behind this loss was QB Aaron Rodgers, who had a disappointing performance, which has led to serious criticism from a Steelers legend.

The four-time MVP had his worst game in Pittsburgh colors with 16 of 31 for 161 yards, along with two picks, three sacks, and just one touchdown. Reacting to Rodgers’ disaster, Pittsburgh legend LB James Harrison highlighted a specific play from the second quarter where the 41-year-old threw a deep middle pass too high for DK Metcalf, which Los Angeles Chargers safety RJ Mickens intercepted at the Steelers’ 48-yard line.
Speaking on the Deebo & Joe podcast, Harrison questioned, “Bro, what are we doing?”

Then Deebo’s co-host, Steelers cornerback Joe Haden, called out Rodgers’ inconsistency. “High ball. You can’t throw that. That was just good defense by the Chargers and a bad ball. High again, like you said, either high or short, but like we we can’t be making those turnovers. That was just bad balls by A-Rod and he knows it. And that’s not winning football. Not winning football,” declared Haden.

As the pair continued dissecting the Steelers’ loss, Harrison deemed Aaron Rodgers’ performance as “the worst game in his career.” And it certainly seemed like it as the Super Bowl XLV champion ended the game with his season-worst passer rating of 50.6.

How did Aaron Rodgers react to the 10-25 loss against Chargers?
At 41, Aaron Rodgers, like many greats, has shown signs of a decline. Especially with his last three prime-time games resulting in losses, Arod is far from his former self as a magical scrambler who can extend plays and avoid turnovers. Hence, after this lopsided defeat against the Los Angeles Chargers, there wasn’t much for Aaron Rodgers to say.

In fact, the former Green Bay Packers QB was quick to admit his shortcomings against the Chargers.
“This was not my best performance,” Rodgers said, via ESPN. “I got to play better than this for us to win. Whatever it takes … if it’s better checks, if it’s better throws, whatever it is, I got to play better. I will.”
Rodgers also highlighted the Steelers’ inability to convert a third down as the 41-year-old went 2 of 11 with a disappointing 18% efficiency. After this loss, the Steelers have failed to win in three of their last four games. With the Baltimore Ravens finding a second wind and clinching three straight victories, the AFC North has once again opened up.

The Steelers, who once comfortably led the division, have reduced their advantage to just one game with two meetings with Baltimore still ahead. Hence, their upcoming clash against divisional rivals, the Cincinnati Bengals, will be a must-win game, and it will be interesting to see how Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers come back.
