Gisele Bündchen, a supermodel who has dominated the glamor industry for over two decades, is a name that needs no introduction. Her journey began at the tender age of 14, and she swiftly ascended the ranks to become one of the world’s highest-paid models, as recognized by Forbes. While modeling is generally perceived as a safe profession, it’s not without its risks, as Bündchen’s story will reveal.
Last month, she was invited to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon alongside comedian Wayne Brady. During the show, she shared a harrowing experience from her shoot on a fake iceberg in Iceland, highlighting the dangers associated with the modeling industry.

Gisele Bündchen was saved by her crew from drowning in the freezing ocean
While recalling the incident, NFL legend Tom Brady’s former wife said, “I would have been dead in seconds because you know what happens when you fall into the freezing water of the icebergs? In seconds, you’re dead — dead!” However, instead of sympathizing, everybody in the room laughed it off.
The incident dates back to when Gisele Bündchen shot an advertisement for the Lanvin Oxygene fragrance. Directed by Bruno Aveillan, the shoot took place in Iceland and New York. While in Iceland, Bündchen nearly fell from the fake iceberg into the ocean’s freezing waters. However, the supermodel was saved by her crew members, who were puffed in life jackets while the model was wearing just a slip dress.

The trio was playing a game called True Confessions, in which players must guess whether someone is bluffing. During Bündchen’s turn, she selected an envelope saying, “I did a photo shoot on a fake iceberg in Iceland, and I almost fell off into the ocean.” The others had to decide whether Bündchen was telling the truth and were allowed to question her further. However, her slight hesitation led everyone to mistakenly believe she was lying when, in fact, she was telling the truth. But before leaving the show, she had a special message for the host, Jimmy Fallon.
Gisele Bündchen shares secret advice with Jimmy Fallon
During the show, Bündchen teased Jimmy Fallon, who has two daughters, Winnie Rose, aged 10, and Frances Cole, aged 9, about his impending parenting challenge. “You wait, I mean, it’s amazing having teenagers and pre-teens, but…” Jimmy Fallon immediately responded, “A little different,” as he wants his relationship with his daughters to remain the same.

However, Bündchen shared parenting knowledge from the experience she has learned from her kids. She said, “The most important thing [is] you have to make time to have conversations because, I think, you know, they are changing, every day is a whole new world.” She added that talking to children is important, as it helps in parenting, which Jimmy Fallon should note.
